What a great season so far!!

Schedule is posted below - this schedule is final and no changes to the playoff format or dates will be made.  Not everyone agrees with the recreationally-toned format and I know the dates offer challenges to the teams; however, I have to work with what is available with ice-time and with my time.  Thank you.

Welcome to the 2009/2010

Aboriginal Hockey League's K-Net Page.

This league caters to all First Nation players (and their non- Native friends) from as young as 15 yrs old to the experienced (50+ yrs old).  It is meant to be a fun yet competitive forum for hockey.  The AHL actively recruits participants from local high schools including the Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School; additionally, players who have been out of the game for some years or are entering into hockey at a late age are very welcome in the league.  The calibre of player ranges from minor house league to former junior ‘A’ players.  Each team consists of youth, men and veteran players on the rosters.

THE SPORSMAN CUP: The league will host an annual Sportsman Cup hockey tournament every November to allow teams from regional First Nation communities to bring their men's teams into Thunder Bay to compete against the AHL teams.  Please e-mail Patrick Cheechoo, League Commissioner at aboriginalhockeyleague@knet.ca for more information.
